Tornano con un nuovo album, ''Aquostic II – That’s A Fact'', previsto per il 21 ottobre

Gli STATUS QUO, una delle rock band più amate del Regno Unito, hanno confermato l’uscita del nuovo album “Aquostic II – That’s A Fact” prevista per il 21 ottobre 2016 via earMUSIC, distribuzione Edel. “Aquostic II – That’s A Fact” sarà pubblicato su CD, doppio vinile in edizione limitata e in edizione Deluxe di 25 tracce su 2CD. L´edizione CD standard di questa raccolta comprende nuove versioni di 14 classici degli Status Quo, come ´In The Army Now´, ´Hold You Back´, ´Roll Over Lay Down´, ´Ice In The Sun´, e due brani inediti. Questi brani e altre tracce extra sono disponibili sulla versione Deluxe/vinile, insieme ad un’altra nuova canzone ‘Is Someone Rocking Your Heart?’. La canzone ´For You´, in origine uscita su ´Rockin´ All Over The World ´, sarà disponibile solo sul formato vinile di 20 tracce. L´edizione Deluxe conterrà un secondo disco che comprende 5 bonus tracks ´Aquostic II´ e 6 tracce registrate nel 2014 durante lo show ‘Aquostic’ a Stoccarda, queste tracce non sono disponibili altrove. ‘Aquostic II – That’s A Fact!’ segue il grande successo dell’album del 2014 ‘Aquostic (Stripped Bare)’, certificato Oro in UK dove ha raggiunto la Top 5 conquistando la più alta posizione in classifica per la band negli ultimi 18 anni. L’11 settembre gli Status Quo faranno un concerto speciale ‘Aquostic’ ad Hyde Park al festival della BBC Radio 2 ‘Festival In A Day’. Con questa nuova impresa ´Aquostic´, dopo 50 anni al vertice come uno dei principali gruppi hard rock, gli Status Quo hanno intrapreso una nuova sfida uscendo da quella zona di comfort delle grandi band ormai affermate. Dopo avere dichiarato che il prossimo ´The Last Night Of The Electrics Tour´, che toccherà diverse palchi in tutta Europa, sarà il loro ultimo tour ‘elettrico’ caratterizzato dal suono delle Telecaster. E’ il momento di guardare avanti, questo è il futuro. L´approccio ´Aquostic´ rappresenta una sorta di nuova alba per la band. Il chitarrista Rick Parfitt si sta riprendendo dai problemi medici avuti a seguito di un attacco di cuore in Turchia due mesi fa, la band gli augura una pronta guarigione e non vede l´ora di averlo nuovamente con loro. Recentemente Classic Rock ha nominato ‘Aquostic’ uno dei 25 migliori album acustici: “Scratch the band’s melodic underbelly in the most celebratory way possible” - “It works. Brilliantly.
